Disaster Relief Information for the Storms of April 27-28
Reminder from FEMA and GEMA:
ONE WEEK LEFT TO REGISTER FOR DISASTER ASSISTANCE WITH FEMA
ATLANTA – Georgians who sustained damage from the April 27-28 storms have only about a week left to register for assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
“The deadline is fast approaching,” said FEMA’s Federal Coordinating Officer Gracia Szczech. “If you had damage, you may be eligible for federal help, but make sure you don’t miss that deadline.”
The deadline is Tuesday, June 28, according to officials with FEMA and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA).
June 28 is also the deadline to submit disaster loan applications to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
Survivors and business owners who have yet to register should call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362);
1-800-462-7585 for persons with speech and hearing disabilities. Lines are open daily from 7 a.m. to
10 p.m. Online registration is available any time at www.disasterassistance.gov.
