Rep. Graves Announces Winners Of 14th District Congressional Art Competition
North Paulding High School Student Takes 1st Place

U.S. Rep. Tom Graves announced the winners of the annual 14th District Congressional Art Competition at a reception yesterday evening at Harris Arts Center in Calhoun. Rebecca Selsor, a senior at North Paulding High School, was awarded first place for her work “Beauty From Ashes.” As the winner, Ms. Selsor’s work will be displayed in the Cannon House Office Building tunnel to the U.S. Capitol building for one year along with the first place artwork from each congressional district across the country. “All of these students are so creative and talented. I’m always impressed by the artwork we see each year,” said Rep. Graves. “Congratulations to the students who participated and thank you to Harris Arts Center for facilitating the competition. I look forward to seeing Ms. Selsor’s work represent Northwest Georgia in the Capitol for the next year.” The 14th District Congressional Art Competition was open to all high school students across the district. The competition was facilitated by Harris Arts Center, which collected the submissions and appointed an independent panel of judges to select the winners.
