Washington, March 5, 2012 - U.S. Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-09) announced today his Dalton district office will hold an outreach event on Thursday, March 15, 2012 with the IRS.  The event will be held from 10:00am until 3:00pm at Dalton City Hall, 300 W. Waugh Street, Dalton, GA 30720.   

Officials from the IRS will be there to hold a presentation and answer questions for interested constituents.  Starting at 10:00am, IRS officials will offer tax tips ahead of this year’s tax filing deadline.  A free tax preparation session is also available for certain IRS forms (1040EZ, 1040A, and non-complex 1040 forms).  If you are interested in having a tax prep session, please bring the following documents:  Taxable income papers (like W2 and 1099 forms), interest paid statements, the previous year’s tax return, and a Social Security year-end statement (if applicable).
