Rep. Tom Graves Votes for Micah’s Law to Save Unborn Babies

Washington, October 3, 2017 - Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-14) today voted for and the House passed the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (H.R. 36), also known as Micah’s Law, which bans abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, the point at which an unborn child can feel pain.

“The mission to protect innocent life is at the core of my public service,” said Rep. Graves. “My vote for this legislation is a vote to protect unborn lives, and the conscience of millions of Americans who, like me, believe every unborn baby has the right to life. This bill is just one step forward, and I will absolutely continue fighting to save unborn babies in every stage of pregnancy.”

The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act is also referred to as Micah’s law. Micah Pickering was born prematurely at 20 weeks. He’s now five years old and leads a happy, healthy life.
