Graves Receives Award for Conservative Excellence
American Conservative Union Foundation Recognizes Graves’ Above-Average Conservative Rating

Washington, D.C. – The American Conservative Union Foundation (ACUF) released their 2018 Ratings of Congress and awarded Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-14) for his conservative excellence displayed in the second session of the 115th Congress.

For the past 48 years, ACUF has researched and selected a range of bills to evaluate a member’s adherence to conservative principles. The bills selected focus on fiscal, social, cultural, and national security issues. “The wide range of issues covered are designed to give citizens an accurate assessment of how Members of Congress view the role of government in an individual’s life,” according to the ACU’s ratings scorecard.

“It should come as a surprise to no one that Rep. Tom Graves was once again was awarded the American Conservative Union Foundation’s ‘Award for Conservative Excellence’ for earning a 96 percent Rating in our most recent Rating of Congress,” said Matt Schlapp, Chairman of the American Conservative Union Foundation. “He consistently works toward restoring fiscal sanity to budget and spending issues and understands that the lives of the unborn are worthy of protection. Conservatives know they can count on Rep. Graves to be thoughtful and courageous when making the tough choices.”

Rep. Graves received an above-average score of 96%. The average score for a Republican Member of the U.S. House of Representatives was 77%.
