Rep. Graves Will Vote For Benghazi Select Committee

Washington, May 2 -

U.S. Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-14) issued the following statement on the announcement that the House will vote on a resolution to establish a select committee to investigate the September 11, 2012, terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya:

“I strongly support the resolution to establish a Benghazi select committee. The American people and the victims’ families deserve to know the truth and to have justice, but after nearly 20 months they have neither. The Obama Administration’s ineptitude during the attack and it’s obstruction in the aftermath has made this select committee absolutely necessary.”

On February 27, 2013, Rep. Graves cosponsored H. Res. 36, a resolution to establish a select committee on the Benghazi terrorist attack.

If the House passes the resolution, the select committee will be formed.  The president’s signature and Senate action are not required.
