Washington, April 28, 2016 - Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-14) issued the following statement today after voting to disapprove of the Obama administration’s new definition of “fiduciary:”

“Saving for retirement, your children’s college and family emergencies is already challenging for most families. The Obama administration is now making it even harder. The administration’s action creates more paperwork and red tape for financial planners, which will in turn raise costs and limit access to sound financial advice for middle-class Americans, especially those living in rural areas. Our vote today sends a clear message that the People’s House will not stand for the administration’s misguided action.”
